Jamorama Review Tips Advice On Learning The Guitar
Learning guitar without a professional tutor can be difficult, and a beginner is likely to develop poor guitar technique without correct guidance. A self taught guitarist is also likely to develop at a far slower rate than a guitarist with a helpful and knowledgeable teacher. In my own experience I would expect a student of mine to be at least the same standard in 1 year as a self taught guitarist would be in around 5-7 years.
But a private guitar tutor is an expensive option for many budding guitarists. At only $30 (£20) for one lesson per week, this would cost over $1,500 (£1,000) per year!
This is where online guitar courses have become a very popular (and far cheaper) option. The last 5 years particularly have seen an explosion of online guitar tutoring packages ever improving technology allows for high quality and instant access online options.
The Internet offers access to thousands of different musical tutoring courses – some good, and some not so good. There are dozens of popular online Guitar courses available to beginner, intermediate and even advanced standard. And all of them want your business!
This Jamorama Review is here to analyse the pro’s and con’s of the Jamorama Guitar program.
Jamorama Review Tips – Jamorama Review Of Course Negatives
No guitar course is perfect – no matter what anybody might tell you. You may think from the information shown on the Jamorama website that you will be playing guitar like Hendrix in no time! This isn’t the case with Jamorama or any other guitar course. Jamorama will help a lot in developing your guitar playing, but there is no substitute for practice.
This is a computer based course, If you are not fond of sitting in front of a computer, or learning from a computer screen then this course isn’t for you. There is a Jamorama hard copy course that can be posted to you, but this is much more expensive ($149.95 plus shipping), and can take up to 1 week to be delivered. As such we do not feel this offers anything like the value of the instant access online course so we are therefore not recommending it.
Once you have paid for the course (reduced from $99.95 to only $49.95 from our special link below) you are led to the Jamorama members page. You won’t be able to immediately view all the videos (which we would prefer), so you first have to download them. This isn’t a big problem, but is rather slightly inconvenient as it will take a few minutes to download them all to your computer.
These videos / pdf instruction manuals and free additional software will also use about half a gigabyte of memory, so if you have a 10 year old computer with very little memory left I suggest you don’t buy this course! Once you have all the lessons downloaded to your computer you are ready to start.
There are a lot of instruction videos here, and it is easy to be a little intimidated by them all and to not know where to start. This may initially discourage some members, but just remember these videos are designed to give you good value, and they should last you for at least 1 year if you practice regularly. Make yourself a small practice chart (i.e. practice 3 times per week), then just start at the beginning and take it from there!
The video lessons are of good quality, and are easily followed on a laptop or computer screen. However, if you like to link up your computer to a large flat screen TV then you will lose definition on the video quality, so I wouldn’t recommend you did this.
“Jamorama Review Tip – Read the instruction manual PDF that Jamorama provide first before you dive headfirst into the video lessons and bonus software – this will make it easier for you to follow the course”.
Jamorama Review Tips – Jamorama Review Of Course Positives
You get high quality video lessons (148 in total) that take you step by step through proven learning strategies suitable for guitar students from beginner to advanced.
The videos are easy to follow, the PDF instruction books clear and easy to understand.
The bonus software (i.e. guitar tuner, metronome, pro music reading program, guitar ear training & complete chord kit) are really useful additions.
You can learn and study at your own pace. You can rewind and repeat lessons until you get it right, and there are currently 26 backing tracks that you can play along to with full instruction (this is a pretty fun way to learn). As such, your motivation is likely to be maintained, which results in you wanting to play!
Good-quality instruction videos and manuals and a nice standard of production for the videos, makes Jamorama an excellent choice for down-loadable guitar lessons. Still recommended at $99.95, and an absolute steal via Jamorama Review Tips at $49.95!
Anyone purchasing Jamorama receives free online lifetime updates from the member’s area. This means if the software or course is improved or updated in future you will also benefit.
An excellent way of testing the effectiveness and customer satisfaction of a guitar course is to look at the refund rate. This basically means how many customers have – for whatever reason – decided that the course wasn’t for them and they asked Jamorama for a full refund. With the majority of online guitar courses the percentage of “unhappy” customers wanting a refund is usually between 10%-15%.
Most online guitar courses do not make it easy to access information regarding how many customers ask for a refund!
The Jamorama guitar course has sold over 100,000 copies of its guitar program over a 5 year period, and less than 4% of users have asked for their money back! Or put another way, over 96% of people who have tried the Jamorama guitar program have wanted to keep it – an astonishing level of customer satisfaction. Jamorama Review Tips is extremely impressed at this particular statistic.
Jamorama Review Tips Conclusion
If we look at your options for guitar lessons over the next 12 months, Jamorama is only $49.95 (approx. £38) as opposed to around $1,500 (£1,000) for private lessons!
And unlike private lessons, Jamorama offers you a full 60 day money back guarantee if you are not fully happy with the Jamorama guitar course.
Jamorama has excellent levels of customer satisfaction, and is a high class learning platform made by guitarists, for guitarists. Highly Recommended By Jamorama Review Tips.
